Being Resourceful... Some of my favorite resources for musicians
Yes! There are so many, it can be overwhelming. Here is a way to break it down plus! a list of some of my favs - organizations and peeps who can help you grow towards your career goals.
And if you are not in a major city? Many of those resources are still at your fingertips via your computer!!
1. It's important to get involved
Because being with like minded people enables you to build relationships, gather new information, & create a support network.
Go to live shows & support your peers- it's a great way to make new friends!
2. Where to Begin?
Ask Yourself...
What areas do I need to build in my career?
(pitching? song coaching? gigs? etc...)
Take a small action....
Do a google search Discover what organizations - local or online offer the info you are seeking
Sign up for E-zines & Follow the blogs (there are so many) Of Pros who are sharing info & resources on the web.
Ask your friends and brainstorm together In my coaching practice I often help connect students to the sites & orgs that will help them grow.
