Shakti Woman

So, Oh me, Oh My.....I  have been so busy in La-La-Land, - not even really La-La-ing -just busy! although then there was Sat Night (perhaps a little lolly-gagging)  Speaking of which, I meant to post this Then - ah,  on the day we dedicate to the Beautiful business of commercializing Cupid.  My take is:  don't wait for one day of the year to tell the special people in your life that you LOVE them - share this sentiment always and with everyone who makes you smile.   Ah, once again I digress (seems to be a common theme here) But,  The point here? for me to share a beautiful viewpoint on Love & Relationships that recently spoke to me....(no, I am not hearing voices - I mean symbolism, people - did you hear that?)

Vicki Noble's Book, "Shakti Woman"  talks about the rich cultural history of Woman, these are the details and factual information that we rarely see in our HIStory books.  (note here that this book is OUT of print!  I will be your best friend if you can tell me where to get it, my copy from the library is way overdue)
She shares enlightening  information about Shamanism and the sacredness of what it means to be a Woman -  how we can heal with our bodies, cycles, & creativity and how by discovering the true nature and rhythms of the inner self, we can share our energy thru love and walk courageously....

So, whether you're in Love, Outta Love, Over Love, On Top of Love (then YOU ought NOT to be reading this right now.....)  Check It Out!
"It's not easy to relate to either men or women these days. (ok fine we know that, but do we really observe and respect it?) Being true to ourselves (in my mind, this is often one of the biggest challenges that we face one we are in a partnership) while following the compelling lead of the sexual energies that drive us to mate is a spiritual path (as opposed to just falling into it because of the paradigm that society dictates or because it's fun to have a one-night stand...:) We are damaged and repressed beyond repair (thanks Vicki for reminding us!)..... yet we long for completion and fulfillment in our sexual relationships.....If 2 people can hold the sacred trust with each other in the container of their ongoing relationship, allowing the pain and disappointment and anger to be present, yet not annihilate them, transformation can begin to occur. This is radically different from our romantic fantasies of the perfect relationship, making it difficult to recognize our soulmates when they appear right in front of us. Or we recognize them but can't deal with the ways they will not bend to fit our fantasies over time. Allowing the
real person to emerge in your lover while not abandoning yourself in hopes of keeping him or her is a test of faith. Allowing the relationship to lead while the two egos burn in the fire of our struggle is the work. The relationship has an organic process of development and individuation, just as each person does. It winds it's way somewhere, like a snake, instinctually knowing what is needed and moving toward it, just as the evolving consciousness tends to do.....

signing off and sending you Love, Light, & Peace..... Meredith
