Giving Gives Us Grace
GIVE: To present voluntarily and without expecting compensation; bestow
When we listen to the universe, I like to believe that the right message crosses our path when we need to hear it. Some call it synchronicity or kismet. Often the key is taking the moment to pause and to listen.
The song, "Give" written by LeAnn Rhimes crossed my path last week. It pressed a pause button in my ever so busy brain and made me think about that simple powerful message. These days, anything that slows me down must be something worth hearing! That's the beauty of a good song :)
These lyrics bring a great perspective to the magic of giving.
What we give to others and to our work is often a mirror of what we receive. And it's easy to become so focused on what we WANT that we forget to recognize what we are putting out there!
Often, there are things in life that we lament we are not getting. Switch your perspective, What are you Not Giving?
So take a moment this week, Offer something without expectation – Just because….
Hint: Your most helpful tool is an open heart
And remember Giving a Smile is Free! You never know, that simple moment of grace, might just make someone else's day …..
When we Give, we open our hearts, When we Give, we help others,
When we Give, we enrich faith
However, there is ONE thing that we should Never Give up On?
Our dreams! So give to yourself and make them happen!
