Rock Star Tip of the Week: THE POWER OF PRE-PRODUCTION!!

Last night I was talking to a friend/student. She is in the process of recording an EP and followed my advice to take some down time between tracking and recording the final vocals to actually PRACTICE the vocal tracks before she laid them down. This may seem obvious to some, but not everyone does this. This brilliant Diva went a step further and notated all of her melody lines so that she was crystal clear on the pitches. When going into the studio, spending this time in rehearsal and pre-production is key to creating a stronger record!
